Week12:

Catering week 12:

So far I have created a template with all the things I think I needed, I was only taking into account my previous experience in catering and didn't really account for how many people might show up, I have been told to use this as a starting base.

I have also contacted Sponsorship team to find out their progress with getting sponsors for the catering, they have a list but have yet to ask. So now I must wait for them to make contact, before I can know who we have and what they will offer us.

This will help I will also have finger food, so for now that and drinks will be our priority until we know who we can have for sponsors and what we will get from them.

Week12: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH regret


Experiment 2.1:
Ezaru Encountering a set trap
Setting of a deep forest, panning to, showing the covered trap from above, a mouse is tied up to a prong, 
from the bushes emerges ominous eyes, growling, in a split second (cam cut)
The dragon pounces on the mouse, and the trap is set (cutting as it closes)
Moma dragon finds the baby ezaru, who is yowling, she breaks the trap scolding baby Ezaru.


Experiment 2.2
Ezaru returning to the nest after leaving Ace, 
and she keeps seeing him in the room (though the environment)


Light pouring through the entrance of the nest A shadow show up through the door, looking ominous, for Ezaru to tenderly walk in (looking down on her)
She jumps onto her ledge and looks towards the door expectantly, (like a doggo)

I keep looking at the plot, I have no idea how im supposed to do this, so far the only one i'm happy with is 1.1.5
I ended up doing two characters for the first, 


I'm finding it hard to create an introduction for them, Trying for one Could work, 2.1 was more introducing baby ezaru and her mother, more setting up for her Mother,

I think I need to introduced one then one, as in RWBY they introduced one main character at a time giving time for us to see how the character interacts and works, I still believe my 1.1.5 Best reflects this
I currently have 3 animatic, intros and 5 written intros,

Establishing shot of Ezaru flying down and landing, she stalks up on Ace appearing to be hunting only, she get ready to pounce

Week11: Experiments to follow

List of things for Inspiration:
  • Character connected to a colour
  • The clip connects to the situation of the character
  • The first scene sets up the setting of where the character is
  • The background containing things that show the characters interests
  • Majestic quotes that have something to do with character
  • Heavily connected to music
  • Two scenes reflecting each other
  • Memory shown as a reflection
  • Shrouded in mystery first, then reveal the character
  • Setting is shown before character.
  • Playing with character size diffrence





I am going to cut down to one character, as I believe that It will allow me to focus one just introducing one character, rather then figuring out both.

The reason for this is that for having two I would refer to the status Quo of the characters in the story, however this is not yet set (plot still in development. So I think it will be easier to create an introduction in  a scene or setting that is already set

Having one will also allow me to exclusively focus on the characteristics of one character, In the first episode of RWBY even the main characters are introduced one by one, rather then at the same time, while it is possible to do two at the same time I believe that doing one, will allow more focus on said character, while two will thin the attention.

Week11: Mor Intro Analysis

What I need to do now is look into the trailer introductions and one or two other
characters to help me go further in my experiments What I gathered from the trailers Characters tied to a certain colour Lyrics have a connection to the characters to be introduced Weapons huge thing Trailer Red: There is no dialog only using the visuals and music to set up Ruby’s character, what kind of
person she is, we see that, from this trailer she is a skilled fighter even against many enemies. The lyrics in the music connect specific colour to the characters and a hint of their past and
or personality:

- Red like roses fill my dreams and bring me to the place you rest:
Ruby rose, her connected colour being red, and the latter part of the lyrics is a reference
to her decessed mother, as in the trailer she end up walking there - White like snow is always yearning, pardoned by the royal test.
White like snow is referring to weiss schnee, always yearning, I believe refers to her
wanting to be free of her family ties, wanting to be able to become a huntress as are her desires,
as for the latter I am unable to figure this out
- Black like beasts, send like shadows.

Black is the color connecting to the character blake,
the reference to beasts could be taken as a hint towards the grim
however I believe it is a reference to Blake’s faunus heritage.
The second part I think is hinting towards her semblance which allows her to
leave some form of shadow copy behind so she can escape a hit. - Yellow beauty burns gold The last one refers to yang, the colour yellow is the hue tied to this specific character,
the burning gold part, is connection to her fiery personality, and the rage that can come with it. Trailer WHITE Weies is shown in front of a large audience alone,
showing that a lot of attention is on her and her position. Like the RED trailer the White trailer’s music references to the story,
however in this case it only refers to weiss schnee rather then all the four main characters. Also in this case, weiss is performing her song in front of an audience. The trailer switches between her performing and her fighting a big metal
suit of armor, these scenarios are flawlessly blended together, both take place in a
darkened area that look very similar. Trailer Black The trailer starts off with a small interaction between two characters The music doesn’t really hit till they jump onto
the train signaling the start of their mission. Trailer Yellow A mix of the Red trailers music is played in the first half of the trailer On the drop of gold, the beat changes and Yang starts to fight It then transitions into a remix of the White Trailers song Then following a remix of the Black trailer’s song Then the music finally moves to lyrics relating to the character. The trailer does have casual dialog between characters making the
setting appear more casual rather then a music trailer or music video, in a
sense it grounds the characters. At the end of the trailer, Ruby appears, introducing us to their relationship
as yang greets her with, “Hey sis” Something I have noticed with all the trailers is that: 1: The music related to the character and Minus the Red trailer, talk about the situation that the character currently is in 2: there is a quote relating to the character at the beginning of the trailer 3: Qrow appears in every trailer at some point. 4: they are in some shape or form fighting an enemy/enemies From this, I might drop the Project down to One character. To add more focus to them, I will also be able to focus more on one characters situation before they meet rather then what is going to be the status quo with them, This is because it is currently still in progress. As for food, covers on the food, heat the plates you put them on, Don't bring all the hot food out at once, keep some stored so that the hot food and be replaced when gone, if cold they could be re-heated (if possible and safe)

so far we have sorted out who is animating what, and I have done 2 scenes so far
they still might need to be editied however, i want to get some other scenes compleded before I go backtracking again.

What I need to do now is figure out the base cost for all the food so we can work out a budget, which means meeting up with natasha and working out what exactly we are having and finding out the price for what we want to get,

Both of these claymations are interesting in their own right, in terms of the Aardmam I love the designs on the animals while they are not realistic they remain to have a consistent form with the animation having a solid structure, on the other side Bruce's animation are very fluid like, to me the story is unclear as the forms are constantly changing and moving, the animation is more jumpy and has a fair amount of body horror within it.

wEEKhilidayman: Chinese propagander

In China they are run in a dictatorship and Communism,
They limit and control the media within the country
for example the movies within China are heavily monitored, to even have the movie made the script must be submitted and be approved before filming, and even then the film can not stray from the script.

They keep things that make their leader and Communism look bad, to keep their image to the populate look clean.


With restrictions on film making it must be hard to create a film, so much of films have great moments that only happened because the actors improvise or something new sparks,
I know i would find it incredibly hard to create a film with these restrictions.

Week: 9? I think

Sense and Sensibility:

This movie wasn't quite something that would make me go wow, however I do love these types of movies something simple and layed back with that old Era style.
The plot honestly I found quite forgettable but I think its a type of movie that would be nice to sit down on a calm day and watch.

The scenery in the movie was beautiful, the locations were well selected and were very serine,

Weta is based in wellington, they primarily create CGI and models for movies,

I believe I would contribute in the CGI and concept art aspect of this company, while I primary want to learn 2d animation and make web comics, A motive that pushes me further then anything is creating something that will draw someone into another world, bring them along on a journey, which I can do through animation and art.

Im not too sure on my chances, as there is not too much information on whether they accept internships, they do scholarships though. gotta try anyway.
